Abstract: The article is devoted to the problems of professionally oriented teaching a foreign language to students studying the specialty “Technology of transportation processes” at universities of architecture and civil engineering. The foreign language presentation of the technical project is considered one of the most common types of activity of the future engineer.

 

Key words: professionally oriented education, university of architecture and civil engineering, foreign language communicative competence, demands of students, intercultural communication, linguistic and didactic analysis, sublanguage of specialty, professional competence, skills and abilities, activity in a foreign community.
