Spring International Session 2020 at IFIMKK has finished
Spring 2020 has proven to be eventful despite the ongoing self-isolation regime and increased focus on security. All planned scientific and scientific-practical events were held in a virtual format on the ZOOM platform, which allowed the participants to unite, get together while staying at home. However, even 11 time zones did not prevent us from sharing our research and methodological developments and effectively discussing the presented results in real time.
On May 15, the first methodological event for teachers from the cycle of didactic webinars "Methods of teaching foreign languages at school and university in the digital era" took place on the basis of the REC IFiMKK "Discursive organization of the modern information space of the region", the Center for Pedagogical Excellence of the IFIMKK and PICconf Project and with the support of the University Point boiling (VolSU). The topic of the first webinar was “Digital technologies in teaching languages and cultures, subjects of the humanitarian cycle: theory and methods of application in an educational institution”. VolSU teachers and teachers of secondary educational institutions in Volgograd and the Volgograd region discussed the use of interactive resources, digital schemes, as well as the prospects and challenges of online learning and the use of digital tools in humanitarian courses in foreign and Russian languages, literature and history. The next webinar of this cycle will take place on June 4-5.

On May 25-30, reports and developments of the participants of 2 international conferences were presented at the same time: "Current issues of linguistics and didactics: An interdisciplinary approach in the humanities and social sciences" (CILD'20) and "Individual and society in the modern geopolitical space" (ISMGE'20).

On May 25-27, a plenary session was also held, which was traditionally opened by the director of the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication of VolSU, Professor Nikolai Leonidovich Shamne. In addition to him, Vladislav Gennadievich Lizunkov (Tomsk Polytechnic University), Boris Aleksandrovich Bukach (Director of the Institute of Finance, Economics and Management of SevSU) and Marina Rostislavovna Zheltukhina (Volgograd State Social and Pedagogical University) greeted the participants. The session and speeches of the participants were moderated by Elena Yurievna Malushko, Deputy Director of IFiMKK for IT.
These conferences have been held for several years. CILD will celebrate its 11th anniversary in 2021. And ISMGE is being held for the 3rd time. The sections combined reports on culture, ethics, law, urban ecology, communication and the economic component of the urban environment, as well as psychology and education. CILD has brought together researchers in the fields of ontology, linguistics and didactics.
An active discussion of the presented reports revealed mutual interest for researchers from different organizations and contributed to the creation of research teams directly during the conference.
We are glad that our events have been helping to strengthen cooperation between Russian and foreign scientific and educational institutions for several years; professional development, wide exchange of scientific results and practical experience; finding innovative ways to integrate scientific knowledge and practice.
This year, the results of the spring conferences will be published in foreign journals indexed in the Web of Science (Core Collection) database, RSCI journal and RSCI collection of papers. Despite the increasing requirements for journals and materials, as well as the difficult world situation and pandemics, we hope that our work will be appreciated and contribute to the world community.
Taking this opportunity, we invite colleagues to take part in the autumn international conferences of an applied nature in November-December 2020 "Breakthrough technologies and communications in production and the urban environment" and "Law and information society" (Scopus / WoS, publication is planned in winter-spring 2021, indexing - in 6-24 months). The topics include various fields of knowledge, covering applied research in the humanities. Detailed information about the scheduled conferences can be provided by Ph.D. Malushko Elena Yurievna, deputy. Director of Informatization IFiMKK (e.malushko@volsu.ru, chief.editor@picconf.ru.net).
