"Law and Information Society: Digital Approach"-2020 in Volgograd Institute of Management
The scientific event, which took place on November 6, 2020, was the result of cooperation between the Department of Civil Law of the Volgograd Institute of Management, the Department of Civil and Labor Law, Civil Procedure of the Moscow University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs named after I. V. Ya. Kikotya, Department of Medical Law, Moscow State Law University named after O.E. Kutafin (Moscow State Law Academy), Department of Constitutional and Municipal Law, Volgograd State University, with the support of the Volgograd Regional Branch of the Russian Lawyer Association.
The conference was held in a remote format, which made it possible to gather authoritative speakers from different countries at the conference venue. The moderators were Olga Sergacheva, Candidate of Legal Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Civil Law of the Volgograd Institute of Management, and Marina Kozlova, Candidate of Legal Sciences, Associate Professor. Scientific reports and articles prepared by researchers are going to be published in the conference proceedings with subsequent submission to Russian and international indexing databases.
After the virtual and face-to-face conference interaction finished, the conference participants retained the opportunity to finalize the materials and submit articles to the organizing committee for publication. The main focus of the conference was attracted to the plenary session.
The plenary session was opened by Marina Aleksandrovna Rozhkova, Doctor of Law, member of the Expert Council of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, Information Technology and Communications, on the peculiarities of legal protection of photography in the digital era. The problems of protecting the right to information about the human genome were highlighted in the speech by Doctor of Law, Head of the Department of Medical Law of the Moscow State Law University named after O.E. Kutafina (Moscow State Law Academy) Alexander Anatolyevich Mokhov. Tatyana Viktorovna Deryugina, Doctor of Law, Professor of the Department of Civil and Labor Law, Civil Procedure of the Moscow University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia named after V.Ya. Kikotya, highlighted the systemic problems of legal regulation of civil liability in the era of the digital ecosystem. Claudio Lisi, a leading security officer of the Italian company Dogma S.p.A., Master of International Relations, spoke about the legal regulation of security in cyberspace in the era of a pandemic in the EU and Italy.
The international part of the plenary session was continued by Mark Pollins, Director of the Water Supply Division of the Civil Protection Directorate of the Federal Environmental Protection Agency of the US Government, and his colleague, expert-expert of the Water Supply Division of the Civil Protection Directorate of the Federal Environmental Protection Agency of the US Government Lauren Denton. Their report covered to the peculiarities of using digital tools in monitoring the implementation of the law in the field of environmental protection.
The conference ended with a study of the problems and prospects for the development of digital society and modern civil law. The conclusion was given by Doctor of Law, Head of the Department of Civil Law of the Kuban State Agrarian University named after I.T. Trubilina, Director of the Research Institute "Actual Problems of Modern Law", Honorary Worker of Higher Professional Education of the Russian Federation Vladimir Pavlovich Kamyshansky.
